services, information and referral, financial assistance, and other
forms of help within Minnesota. It is especially rich in resource
information for seniors and their caregivers; disabled and their

United Way 211
United
Way 211 is a free, statewide information and referral service.
Professional staff members are available 24 hours a day, seven days a
week, to answer your questions and connect you with over 20,000
community services. Just dial 2-1-1. Cell phone users can call
651-291-0211 or e-mail firstcall@unitedwaytwincities.org. Help in other languages is available Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Child Care & Early Childhood Education Information on quality child care and early childhood
education-related programs, including Head Start and Early Childhood
Family Education. Also contains resources to find a child care provider
and help pay for child care. |
Food and Nutrition Information on emergency food shelves and other nutritional programs, such as WIC (a nutrition program for women, infants and children), and Fare for All.

Health Services Additional health programs, including links to free and
low-cost health clinics, dental care services, and prescription drug
resources. |
Income Support Information about the Diversionary Work Program and the Minnesota
Family Investment Program (MFIP or cash assistance), which help
low-income Minnesota families find a job and offer assistance to meet
basic needs. |
